Interview by Michael J. Lee, Executive Editor for Radio Free Entertainment
November 4, 2006
Audiences who don't know Mary Elizabeth Winstead from Sky High or her lead role in Final Destination 3 will have plenty of opportunities to become acquainted with the charming actress over the course of the next year: aside from being a part of the ridiculously star-studded cast in the Bobby Kennedy drama Bobby, Mary will be featured in the horror remake Black Christmas with Michelle Trachtenberg and Lacey Chabert, the groundbreaking Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez collaboration Grind House, and the summer blockbuster sequel Live Free or Die Hard with Bruce Willis.
In this segment of our exclusive interview, Mary gives us a small preview of Live Free or Die Hard by describing her role in general.
Mary's next film, Grindhouse, hits theaters on April 6!

RadioFree.com: Have you started work on Die Hard 4?
MARY: Yes, I actually just started. I've been on it about a week, and now they're doing the whole thing near the airport, so I'm off for a couple weeks.
Are you involved with just the drama aspects of the film, or are you mixing it up with the action/stunt side as well?
I will be getting involved in some stunts, yeah. We've been mostly doing the more relationship-oriented scenes to start out with, but I do get in there. And it's very top secret, so I can't give any of the storyline away. But I do play a tough chick. So it's fun. [laughs]
Has all your Final Destination 3 experience prepared you for the physical stuff you'll be doing?
Definitely.
We're seeing movies pull a lot of old heroes out of retirement: Bruce Willis' John McClane, and Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. What character do you think needs a good comeback?
You know who I'd like to see around more, that I loved growing up, was Michael Keaton. [laughs] Like Batman. I think he needs to come back as Batman again.
Or maybe his character Beetlejuice...
Right. Beetlejuice, exactly!
