In the drama Cheri, an ill-fated love affair between a legendary courtesan (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a 19-year-old son (Rupert Friend) of a former rival (Kathy Bates) rocks the decadent world of Paris with scandal at the dawn of the 20th century.
Based on the acclaimed and controversial book by French novelist Colette, Cheri was nominated for the Golden Bear Award at the 2009 Berlin International Film Festival, and directed by two-time Oscar nominee Stephen Frears (2006's The Queen and 1990's The Grifters).
