The 1971 Academy Award winner for Best Special Visual Effects, Disney's classic Bedknobs and Broomsticks has been fully restored and remastered for a whole new generation in the all-new "Enchanted Musical Edition," available on DVD September 8th! In this heartwarming tale from the creators of Mary Poppins, an apprentice witch casts a spell that transforms an ordinary bed into a form of magical transportation that whisks away a trio of children on a fantastical adventure.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Enchanted Musical Edition includes the following all-new bonus features exclusively on DVD:
The Wizards of Special Effects - Hosted by Jennifer Stone, star of Disney's hit series Wizards of Waverly Place, this featurette looks at the award-winning special effects of Bedknobs, including the revolutionary "sodium screen," (a precursor to the modern greenscreen) that allowed live action to be merged with animation. Jennifer also compares the old school special effects to those used today on Wizards of Waverly Place.
Music Magic: The Sherman Brothers - A look at the music of the film with the Sherman Brothers, Angela Lansbury, and Scott MacQueen, the featurette explores the origins of the songs, as well as what was deleted versus what made it into the final cut.
Deleted Song: "A Step in the Right Direction"
Recording Session - A rare clip of David Tomlinson's recording of the song "Portobello Road"
