It was the first box office hit of 2009, and now it's available on double-disc DVD and Blu-Ray! In the vengeance thriller Taken, Liam Neeson stars as a retired government operative who busts out his old school skills when his daughter (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by human slave traffickers, cutting a bloody path through Europe and relentlessly killing anyone that stands between him and his only child.
This fast-paced tale of unforgiving and lethal justice has endeared itself as a vicarious guilty pleasure with audiences, hauling in nearly $150 million domestically (in the traditionally slow January season, no less!). Comparisons of Liam Neeson's character to an older, family man version of Jason Bourne are entirely apt. The film also stars Famke Janssen and Katie Cassidy in supporting roles.
The 2-disc DVD of Taken includes the following bonus features:
- Extended Cut - An extended version of the film seamlessly branched with audio commentary from director Pierre Morel, writer Robert Mark Kamen, and cinematographers Michel Abramowicz and Michel Julienne
- An exclusive "making of" featurette
- Inside Action - Side-by-side comparisons of six action sequences, including a cutthroat interrogation and a climactic fight scene
- Avant Premiere
- Digital Copy - A digital file copy of the movie for viewing on portable players
The 2-disc Blu-Ray edition of Taken includes all of the above features, plus a "Black Ops Field Manual" bonus extra.
To commemorate the release of this kickass action thriller, we're pleased to be able to give away three copies of the DVD edition! To enter our random drawing, simply fill out the form below...
