A new collection just in time for the theatrical run of J.J. Abrams' blockbuster Star Trek reboot, The Best of Star Trek: The Original Series features four classic episodes of the original series starring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. It's the perfect compilation for casual fans and newcomers, and is digitally remastered with brilliant picture quality and enhanced special effects.
The Best of Star Trek: The Original Series includes the following four classic episodes:
- The City on the Edge of Forever - The crew of the Enterprise comes across a rift in time and space, and accidentally alters history.
- The Trouble with Tribbles - A cute, gibbering furball is brought onto the Enterprise, and things get out of hand when it does nothing but eat and reproduce at an alarming rate. This lighthearted episode is a pop culture favorite that has been spoofed and alluded to over the years, and was the basis for a unique cross-over episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
- Balance of Terror - Kirk and the crew battle a cloaked spaceship in this episode that introduced the Romulans as a new race of villains.
- Amok Time - Spock returns to his home planet of Vulcan for a brutal marriage ritual.
To commemorate the release of this special collection, we're giving away three copies of The Best of Star Trek: The Original Series on DVD! To enter our random drawing, simply fill out the form below...
