The DVD edition includes deleted scenes, commentary from the writer, photo galleries, and featurettes on the following topics: the making of the movie; the design of Gort, the iconic robot that trashes the hell out of humanity; the search for extraterrestrial life; and the environmentally friendly "green" production of the film. As a special bonus, the original 1951 movie is also included, as well as a digital copy to watch on the go.
The Blu-Ray edition includes all of these features, plus a "Build Your Own GORT" game and a "Klaatu's Unseen Artifacts" picture-in-picture track.
